What is Mono Material Packaging?
Mono material packaging is primarily made from a single material family, such as polyethylene or polypropylene. The approach is intended to simplify material composition and may support recycling pathways where suitable collection and recycling infrastructure exists. Examples include certain PE films, PP bags, and flexible packaging structures. Design depends on required barrier and sealing performance. End-of-life recyclability should be assessed according to applicable local systems and regulations.
